Parasol Theme Bug

Today, i got an e-mail from my friend from England, Sophie. She just start a new business and want to socialize it using a website and social media.

For the website, she use a business theme from ColorLabs named Parasol. For a while, she said that she is enjoying using this theme until a client says that her site is suck.

default

Parasol Featured Pages Section

The thumbnail images at featured section that should be redirect you to the post content are not doing what it should do. The image thumbnails are redirect you to the image source.

So, she is asking me whether i’m able to fix this bug or not. And here is my answer for Sophie and maybe you also:

To fix this bug, you have to modify a file named index.php. Open that file and find out this code (there are 3 codes like this one, so take a look carefully):

<?php colabs_image('width=340&height=163'); ?>

That code is function is too generate the image at the featured page section. By default a function named colabs_image will generate all image attached to your post/page (featured image, an image uploaded to the post/page).

For me, this function is really awesome. But, the minus point is this function will automatically generate an URL automatically (the URL to the image source). So, what i want to do here is to create a new function that will generate an image attached at your post/page.

So, what you have to do is remove that code and put this code:

<?php
$feat_image = wp_get_attachment_url( get_post_thumbnail_id($post->ID) ); ?>
<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>"><img src="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_directory'); ?>/functions/timthumb.php?src=<?php echo $feat_image; ?>&w=340&h=163" /></a>

And done! the thumbnail now will redirect you to the page content
