Get File After Sending An E-mail

Most of people who work for society or for charity may want to spread their ideas or something. The ideas can be written in a document or a PDF. The question is how to make people want to download it.

There was an idea before and already made on a custom website (non CMS based) by attaching a file after people submit some forms. Usually the forms is a contact form to fill their identity as an approval if he/she want to join their charity action.

That was a custom made website, but how about WordPress? Can we do the same?

The answer is yes. You can do it using a plugin named contact form 7. You can download it for free from this URL.

The trick is by using an additional settings when you create/edit a form. Put this code into it:

on_sent_ok: "location = 'http://your-custom-url-here.com';"

You can put that code into the field. You can also attach a file by uploading it to your media library then put the URL to replace those dummy URL.

And done!
