Jobifier: Custom Map Marker

Hi,

This time i want to share some tricks that would make your Jobifier based website look cooler! The modification is about to add a custom map marker as you can see on the image below:

custom jobifier icon

At image above, i’m using a custom map marker for my job (no longer default Google Map marker).

To do this modification, you will need to modify a file named plugins.js. This file can be found via FTP at directory: wp-content → themes → jobifier → includes → js.

Open the file and find out this code:

 var marker = new google.maps.Marker({
      position: new google.maps.LatLng( markerOptions.latitude, markerOptions.longitude ),
      map: self.getInstance(),
      title: markerOptions.title,
      icon: markerOptions.icon
    });

Those code can be found around line 399. Modify it become:

 var marker = new google.maps.Marker({
      position: new google.maps.LatLng( markerOptions.latitude, markerOptions.longitude ),
      map: self.getInstance(),
      title: markerOptions.title,
      icon: "http://your-website.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/my-images.png"
    });

About the icon path, make sure if you already upload the image into your WordPress via media uploader or manually via FTP. And done!
